We filmed this interview with Margaret Musonda Chikoti of Matongwa Farm in Fisenge in 2019.
She spoke about the benefits of record keeping and said she would like to increase milk production on her farm so that she could employ more staff.
We spoke to Margaret again recently and were happy to hear that the practice of record keeping is still under way.
Also, while Margaret has reduced the overall number of milking animals on her farm, milk production per cow has increased.
“I now make silage to feed my animals during summer," she says. "I am enjoying farming and feeling positive about the industry.”
